Rick and the horses that will be making the trip. |

Shawnee and Shiloh
Rick chose the Native
American Indian Dog, as a breed sturdy and hardy enough to carry a
backpack of 50 lbs. all day long, to keep up with horses on this several
thousand mile journey, and a breed of dog with enough fortitude and
courage to keep mountain lions and bears at bay.
Any donations that could help Rick purchase enough food and
supplies for his horses, himself and his two Native American Indian Dogs
would be greatly appreciated. Majestic
View Kennels is already signed up to be a sponsor for his ride. |
| “The purpose for the trip is to
gain a closer connection with nature, to create an awareness for the
importance Indigenous People have on our planet and to create awareness
on the importance of saving and protecting the Environment...
...I will need help along the way by helping finance the trip; being a
support person to help re-supply or a place for a rest and warm shower.
Even a place to stay the winter for my dogs, horses and myself. I hope
to write and read during the winter and I will have to work as well to
support my trip. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Rick Theile”
“…I am trying to get sponsors so
if you know anyone who might be interested, give them my email. I hope
during my trip I can bring awareness to the Environment and Indigenous
People around the world.
Rick”

| "...The first year starting in the end of June 2006,
I will ride from California
through Oregon,
Washington
and up to Canada. I will stay in Canada
for the winter. The following spring I hope to go from Canada
down to Montana, Wyoming, Colorado
to New Mexico. I may make a detour to South Dakota
and maybe North Dakota. The following year I will go from New Mexico
to Arizona
up to Utah, Wyoming
and Idaho. This trip is estimated to be three to five years.
It will be all on
horseback and camping in the wilds. I hope to live with some Indian
Nations on the way. Maybe for a winter break or along the trip..."
