“I am
emailing you in regards to the Native American Indian dogs you breed. This
breed of dog is the most beautiful breed I have ever seen. They are definitely
an eye catcher, but that is only part of the reason I am interested in this
breed. I am friends with a family who has two NAIDs. Their names are Sophie
and Shadow. As I stated earlier, this breed is beautiful, but what caught my
attention next was their temperament. They are very sweet and gentle and very
sensitive. Also very goofy. What a sense of humor they have. This breed is
amazing. I have been looking into dog breeds for a while now and I always come
back to this particular breed of dog. Do you currently have a waiting list?
Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Sam”
“Hi
Karen, You
are absolutely delightful; Thank You so much for your time today. I am
overwhelmed by the loving and gentle disposition of all the NAIDS, and making a
choice has been more difficult than we anticipated. Chaz is torn between
his first choice, Canhasa and Tecumseh’s daughter and the blonde/white
daughter of Ogala and Wazi. He was in tears tonight. He loved how
Wazi’s daughter seemed to like him but also likes Canhasa’s girl. Decisons! Again thank-you so much.” T
"Hello,
I'm
writing to inquire about your NAIDs... I live in the New England
area, and have met two NAIDs that live in this area and are from your kennel,
and I just love them. One of them (my favorite) is a big beautiful adult
white, gray, and black male and the younger, brown and black female.
They regularly go to a doggy daycare I work at part time. I'm a huge dog lover,
and I've recently said I will only adopt my dogs from rescues, except for
when I get a NAID. So please tell me do you have any NAIDs you would adopt out
to me or have any pups currently? This is such an incredible dog
breed, I just gotta get one. Thank you so much for your time and
consideration in this matter."
“HI, I and my wife live in I got on line and found the Native American Indian Dog, the SiberCaan and the
Siberian Indian Dog and were blown away by the fact that they were not only
beautiful looking dogs but they had the claim to fame as being hypoallergenic. I contacted the founder/creator of all 3 breeds, located in She warned me though, that if my wife was allergic to a poodle or a
schnauzer, that she would also probably be allergic to the NAID and the
SiberCaan. Early on a Saturday morning my wife and I went to an allergy doctor. I was
personally scared to death. First he taped all three hair swatches under my wife's nose, one at a time,
to see if she had a reaction, and Nothing!! Next he mixed each hair swatch
in a special chemical/fluid and using a syringe and needle drew up the
concoction and injected it into my wife's arm. He circled each site
with an ink pen and marked on her skin what kind/percentage of dog breed it was
and then we waited.......... Absolutely no bump, or redness or swelling
occurred and no asthma attack, even!! I've got to tell you I am supposed to be a grown man, but I had moist eyes and was so overjoyed/over whelmed that we could finally own and love a dog, I think I floated out of the Dr.'s office. I just wanted you all to know. Jared”
"Hi Karen, I have been meaning to write you and send in Waci’pi Mahpiya’s
registration paperwork. Waci’pi
means dancer and Mahpiya means cloud. We
call her Cloud Dancer. She is the daughter of your Whitney and Paahuma. Mahpiya is a very special dog. When
I first got her, my best friend and her husband came over to see her. They are a
very traditional Lakota family. He is a medicine man, which can only be truly passed down genetically through
his bloodline. This is why there are very few True medicine men left in the
world today. His medicine is the prairie dog medicine and the spider medicine.
He has ceremony’s sweats, and has a sundance.
He is truly remarkable and his wife is as special as he is.
They have been together 29 plus years and compliment each other. Anyway, after their visit, she
called me and told me, because, following the traditional way, I do not speak to
him, she told me that Mahpiya (our NAID) had talked to him and was one of his
spirit helpers. She was young
and needed to learn some things, and he would send some of his other spirit to
assist her in learning. To make a long story short, as part of my Sundance give away this year, I
gifted Mahpiya to him. She belongs
with him. She is part of his medicine. They
communicate and talk in a very unique and sacred way.
I have never seen anything like this before.
They live in the country, of course, she has plenty of room to run, but
never strays. She also hunts prairie
dogs and always gets one. Their connection with each other goes far beyond this realm and I truly
believe that she was sent here because of him and his alter.
She is so special it goes beyond words. Our Medicine Man has owned many different dogs in his life, some pure wolves
and a few high content wolf dogs, but they have never acted, or responded or
communicated with him the way Mahpiya has done she truly is a different breed of
dog. I want to thank you again for breeding the dogs of my People and providing us
with such an incredibly, remarkable dog such as Waci’pi Mahpiya."~~~
“Hi,
"Hello Karen, I am of Cherokee/Sioux blood (Tsalagi/Lakota). My Great grandfather (Lakota) used to talk to me about the dogs his family had when he was a young child- this was a special connection he and I always shared, our love of dogs. The animals he described to me seem to be the same as your NAID's, they fit the picture in my mind that he always spoke of. He truly loved these dogs and he missed them greatly in his old age. I enjoyed your site very much and found it to be so informative- fantastic pictures! You have some beautiful dogs- such spirit shows through them even in the pictures. I apologize for this being so lengthy, but I just was overwhelmed to find your site and my Great grandfather came rushing back to me as I read and saw these fantastic pictures, like ones I had seen only in my mind for years! My great grandfather would be so happy!!"
