“Hi
there,
I
just wanted to share a picture with you and to tell you how much we love
our NAIDS and so does everyone who meets with them.
Nikita
is a bundle of laugh's, she will walk up to absolutely anyone for loves
and when they start to rub she will immediately fall to the floor for them
to continue belly rubbing. She loves to be brushed/rubbed/loved.
She
is the bigger of the 2 NAIDS weighing in at 78lbs for 2 years and 4months
old.
Nikita
LOVES raw potatoes, she always knows when I'm peeling them, she could be
way back no where in site but as soon as you start to peel she's right
there by your side waiting on one. Not too keen if it has peel still
on but ravishes it otherwise and comes back for more.
Dakota, once
she gets to know people she too will want loving rubs. Dakota too
loves to be brushed/rubbed/loved on. Sometimes they will argue with
each other to see who first gets brushed etc. Tis very funny and
will stay there forever until they've had enough, usually it's you that
tells them ok your done time to move on. Dakota loves you to pull on
her teeth and play tug. Always comes back for more. She always
looks out for Maggie of a morning if they've not slept together (Maggie is
our black 5 year old lab) and bounces on her to play fight. No raw
potatoes for this one, she will take one to play with but doesn't like to
eat it. Dakota looks smaller than Nikita and weighs 10lbs lighter at
68 lbs for 2yrs, 4mths old.
They
are great dogs, we love them so much, they really are apart of our family
who adapt well in the
Kentucky
summers/winters. When it's too warm they'll sleep the day away and
be alive by night. Dakota absolutely LOVES water, when we trail walk
and she finds water she lays her whole body in it and plays around.
Nikita I'm sure thinks she's a princess and doesn't do that, she likes to
stay clean for as long as possible and then just jumps around and splashes
in the creek but no where as bad as Dakota. Maggie the lab also is
not as bad as Dakota for water - HA!
Snow,
well I'm sure all NAIDS just love the snow, these girls do, it's really
fun to watch them in it. They'll be out there for ages, playing and
eating the snow. They enjoy skidding on the deck also, that is like
watching kids play.
Take
care and thanks again for our wonderful dogs.
Michael
& Chrissie Smith.”
