| “Hi
Karen,
I
just took our puppy into the vet for her 12 week check-up, vaccinations,
etc.. and the vet was VERY impressed with her!
The vet, a very nice woman, complimented not only how gorgeous and
healthy the puppy is but also how well prepared and thorough her records
and papers are. She told me she had never seen such a special
dog with everything done so perfectly.
I
just wanted you to know. I am very proud of her and I know you are!
Thanks,
Molly

| “This is Dakota
as of April 14 (3 months old). He's definitely growing! He
visited the vet yesterday and weighed 20.5 lbs. The vet just laughed
because he was so cute and laid-back. He gave him puppy shots,
clipped his toenails, examined him and commented that he can't wait
to see what he grows into. Duh's (short for Dakota) still very
cautious of the horses but gives Pippin and P.C. a run for their money.
It was so funny watching him try to walk at first. He just
couldn't figure out what to do with those huge feet. Now he trots
along pretty well only stumbling now and then. He's paper trained,
which helps a lot at night. The rest of the time, we keep the
puppy watch going to try to get him outside before an accident.
He's a sweet guy and the _expression on his face says it all. He
loves to be with us in the family room and we love for him to be in
there until he starts sniffing for a place to "go". For
those of you who haven't heard, we've been on a waiting list for almost
a year to get him. He is a Native American Indian Dog (N.A.I.D.) you
can find info on the web. More later, …Love, Susan”

“Hi Karen,
Sorry it has taken me so long to update you! Jonah (son of Majestic View's
Catori & Hedeska Owapi) is doing really well! We couldn't be
happier with him, he is FULL of personality! He and Sam (Night Eyes Farms
NAID) are still getting along really well, they are constantly
playing! Now that they are bigger, their playing has become much more
exciting! I took them in to get weighed last week. Jonah was right at 60
pounds and Sam was right around 50. Sorry the pictures are not the best
quality. That is part of the reason why it has taken me so long to update
you, I was waiting until I actually got a decent shot, but with my
photography skills, I didn't know when or if that would happen! So I
decided to just go for it!
Hope you are doing well,
Annie Tuckey” |

| “Hi
there,
I
just wanted to share a picture with you and to tell you how much we love
our NAIDS and so does everyone who meets with them.
Nikita
is a bundle of laugh's, she will walk up to absolutely anyone for loves
and when they start to rub she will immediately fall to the floor for them
to continue belly rubbing. She loves to be brushed/rubbed/loved.
She
is the bigger of the 2 NAIDS weighing in at 78lbs for 2 years and 4months
old.
Nikita
LOVES raw potatoes, she always knows when I'm peeling them, she could be
way back no where in site but as soon as you start to peel she's right
there by your side waiting on one. Not too keen if it has peel still
on but ravishes it otherwise and comes back for more.
Dakota, once
she gets to know people she too will want loving rubs. Dakota too
loves to be brushed/rubbed/loved on. Sometimes they will argue with
each other to see who first gets brushed etc. Tis very funny and
will stay there forever until they've had enough, usually it's you that
tells them ok your done time to move on. Dakota loves you to pull on
her teeth and play tug. Always comes back for more. She always
looks out for Maggie of a morning if they've not slept together (Maggie is
our black 5 year old lab) and bounces on her to play fight. No raw
potatoes for this one, she will take one to play with but doesn't like to
eat it. Dakota looks smaller than Nikita and weighs 10lbs lighter at
68 lbs for 2yrs, 4mths old.
They
are great dogs, we love them so much, they really are apart of our family
who adapt well in the
Kentucky
summers/winters. When it's too warm they'll sleep the day away and
be alive by night. Dakota absolutely LOVES water, when we trail walk
and she finds water she lays her whole body in it and plays around.
Nikita I'm sure thinks she's a princess and doesn't do that, she likes to
stay clean for as long as possible and then just jumps around and splashes
in the creek but no where as bad as Dakota. Maggie the lab also is
not as bad as Dakota for water - HA!
Snow,
well I'm sure all NAIDS just love the snow, these girls do, it's really
fun to watch them in it. They'll be out there for ages, playing and
eating the snow. They enjoy skidding on the deck also, that is like
watching kids play.
Take
care and thanks again for our wonderful dogs.
Michael
& Chrissie Smith.”

“Hi Karen,
I know I am very late at getting this old picture to you but Ty Ohni
Nashobi, son of Hedeska Owapi & Ohapi Pui has added a lot of life to
our lives!! He is full of energy, curious, unbelievably smart, and a
loving companion. He continually thinks of new ways to keep us on
our toes, and challenges us daily, but we love him, and so far we are
still in control!! :o) Regards Patti & Jim”

| “Dear Karen,
Here’s
Uly (short for Ulysses). He is the son of Hedeska Owapi and Ohapi
Pui. You were right, he is absolutely beautiful! He already
can sit, shake, lie down, crawl, roll over and stay. He loves
playing in the snow and sitting on our back deck so he can watch the
skiers pass by our house. He has fallen in love with my parents’
dogs, two Golden retrievers, and loves going to visit. He starts
kindergarten puppy classes tomorrow and we know he will do well because he
is very intelligent. Thanks so much for making this puppy mine; I
can’t imagine life without him! Kellyn” |
