“Karen,
Just wanted to let you
know we made it home safe and sound. Nakota (yes, I wanted
something a little more original but the kids loved the name) whined for
about 15 minutes. We sat in the back with him and he fell asleep
between us for most of the ride. Things have been going great.
How we ever survived without this dog is beyond us. He is almost
completely trained. He whines when he needs to go out and any
accident he's had is because we did not get him out fast enough.
We have those "puppy pads" and when we don't move fast enough,
he is kind enough to use them.
We can not say enough
about how much we love him. He is quiet and so smart. I
walked Nokota to school to pick up my daughter. School let out and
at least thirty kids swarmed Nakota and he did not bark or nip or growl,
he just sat and let them pet him. When my daughter came out Nakota
ran to her and knocked her down in his enthusiasm to see her and licked
her face. He made my daughter feel like the queen of the
playground. She kept telling all the kids "He really
loves me."
My son is so happy and
it makes me smile to see him run with Nakota in the backyard. They
play a game called "Monkey in the Middle" where Conor runs and
stands between two trees and Nokota leaps from tree to tree until he
finds him. They have a great time. Sunday, he will
attend youth group with my son. Tomorrow, the fence guys come and
we will have the pen for Nakota completed. He is a very happy dog
I think.
Thanks so much for
Nakota. He is a wonderful addition to our family.
With gratitude,
Margaret and The Owens
Family”

“Karen,
We wanted to send you
some pictures of Nakota, Saranac Sam and Kasauchee's son we brought home
with us on March 2nd. He's doing well. As you can tell by
his picture he has the diamond marking on his head, just like his
father. Every where we go, people stop us and ask about him.
They all think he is so beautiful. We can no longer walk him down
the
St. Charles Avenue
during rush hour because we cause traffic jams when drivers stop to look
at him!
We are very happy with
him, but I am going back to work soon and we don't want to leave him in
the pen all day. He gets lonely and it's just not fair to him.
We would like to see about getting a female puppy to keep him company.
Also, we are so happy
with his looks and his temperament, will there be any puppies related to
him born soon? We would really like to get him a sister.
Let us know what you
think. We would appreciate your advice.
Margaret”

“Karen,
I thought I would send these pictures along to you. This is where
Nakota parked himself when my daughter was sick. Every time she moved to
sit up, he kissed her.
