“Hi Karen,

I just wanted to send you a quick update on Bodie Bear, son of Meo Quanee Iye and Hidatsa Bob Tail.  He drove a long 13 hours with us from Michigan to Nebraska and did amazing. Once home he loved exploring and spending time in the wood house my husband built for him.  He truly loves the cold!  It has been unseasonably warm this year so when it snows he is overjoyed and rolls in every pile he can find. He has learned very quickly and loves to show others his skills.  I recently took him to the vet to get his next group of vaccinations and everyone loved him.  He is just a big fluffy ball of love and I couldn't be more pleased.  My husband and I would love to adopt another dog from you someday, so I will keep a look out on that page :)  Bodie has been wonderful with other dogs as well, very submissive and playful.  I am so thankful for his happy personality, what a dog!  Hope all is well at Majestic View, we really enjoyed coming to see you twice!

Thanks Again for our boy,

Nate & Amanda Jacobitz”

“Hello Karen!!

Holy Cow!  What an amazing little boy(son of Meo Quanee Iye and Fantastic Fred)!  He is perfect and we love him to pieces.

He sat between John and Brittany on the way home like he had always ridden in a car!  No whining, no crying….just alternating sleeping and hanging out.

We are teasing about naming him “90 miles an hour” because the only time he got a little restless was when we had to stop for lights or slow down!

At home, he went right out and did his business and got acquainted with the house pretty quickly while I had my other two on the leash watching.  Slowly we let my female Labradoodle off her lead and after they got to know each other, we let my little rescue dog, the Russell terrier/bull terrier mix off his lead.  It went so great.  They all did wonderfully and ha ha…this is so funny – our red-headed female Labradoodle, Shaylee, wants to play with him so badly, but she scares him with her crazy smiling jaw snapping and pouncing for him to play…and we said this morning “Ut oh…another red-headed female snapping at him like Mom!”  They are figuring it out this morning and starting to learn how to play.  Last night we could have kissed her when he started to do his little puppy bark and bite and “pawed” at her and she dropped her head submissively and he put his cute baby paw on her nose.  So sweet!

He is in love with John, follows him everywhere and already gets between him and the other dogs saying “my daddy”.  So cute.  In the span of 1 hour he learned how to retrieve a tennis ball, go up and down stairs, and go in and out of a doggy door.  Impressive!  The best part is he slept all night long without crying or getting up…although he is an early riser at 6:00 AM and as I write this I notice his daddy John has snuck back upstairs to sleep, leaving him in grandma’s care!

So Karen, I just wanted to share our excitement and enthusiasm in you, your dogs, and our first evening experience with our new little boy. He was the “right fit” for us and we appreciate your patience and wisdom in supporting the “puppy picks you” process.  We will keep in contact!

Have a great day,

Laura Davidson”

“Hunter weighs 40 lbs now. He’s getting so tall and strong! He’s losing all of his black coloring and turning into a Sable color. Its stunning!!

He is very intelligent! We started puppy training and he’s doing very well with it.

He’s such a social guy. Loves people and other dogs! We took him to the dog park and he had a blast playing and running!!

He does great with our 2 yr old! That’s his best friend!! He’s so gentle and loving towards him. He follows him around and lets Nicolas get away with everything lol

“yeah my dad's phone was out because of the storm but even the heavy rain on the car didn't scare Koda. I was really surprised. I thought he would be bouncing all around in there, instead he just sat there quietly. my mother has a little shih tzu puppy and they love to play together. Koda is so gentle, Carly (the shih tzu puppy) will have her entire head in his mouth and he is completely calm, making sure he won't hurt her. I waited a few days for him to calm down a bit before I started training. He is so amazingly smart. he already knows sit, down, shake, and roll over! I don't think there's anything this guy can't do! He hasn't had a single accident in the house and hasn't chewed on anything he's not supposed to. Thank you so much for your kindness, Koda has been such a blessing!
God bless,         Kelly”

“Greetings Karen :)

Leotie is doing fabulous!  Last night she came with me on her first hospital visit...we saw a patient that, of course, fell in love with her.  This morning was her first football practice, she found a friend (6 mo old German Shepard) named Rooster, that learned he had to treat her very nicely...the only play she would allow was a gentle kiss on the cheek.  One of my patients I found out has one of your pups...named Maya.  I'm looking forward to getting them together.  Her owner can't remember he parents’ names though.

In-joy,

Jenni”

“Hi Karen,

Well it’s been about a month since Mia got here and she is doing very well.  She went to the vet the other day for another round of shots and she was a whopping 30 pounds already.  Our vet just loves her blue eyes.  In fact, everywhere we go people comment on her eyes and what a beautiful dog she is.  She love to ride in the car so we take her everywhere we can and she always gets a lot of attention.

So far training is going well, it only took about a week and a half to potty train her.  She has learned the basic obedience commands and always comes when you call her.  She loves playing fetch to the point your arm feels like it’s going to fall off from throwing the ball so much.  We enrolled her in a formal training program which starts tomorrow.  She is so smart that I am sure she will be fully trained by the time we complete the 5th class.  It’s more of an opportunity to socialize her with other dogs.

You weren't kidding when you said NAID's don't bark, although we do get the occasional howl when playtime is over.  It’s funny, for as much as she likes napping in front of the wood burning stove, she loves the cold too.  It's been very cold here this week with temperatures in the 20's, but it doesn't seem to bother her.  She has gone out to do her business and laid down and went to sleep on the frozen ground.  Hopefully, we get a few decent snow storms this year for her to experience.

We'll keep in touch and let you know how she does at school!

Thanks,

Jeff & Diane”

“Hi Karen,

It was pleasure meeting you yesterday and I greatly appreciate you bringing the pup (son of Meo Quanee Iye & Hidatsa BobTail) to the airport.  He was incredible the whole trip, never made a sound and everyone I met loved him and asked about him.  They all seemed interested in getting a dog like him.

I decided to name him Mohave Timber Wahya (A Desert Tribe Timber Wolf).  He responds to "Timber".  I considered Yahto (Blue) because of his intense eyes, Taima (Thunder) for that strong alpha growl he has, or Fearless because even at 7 weeks he's very strong and confident.

He responds very well to everyone and other dogs, but becomes "alpha" with my other puppy Ruxby because the golden is hyperactive and loves to nip and play.  Timber let out a deep growl that felt like Thunder when Ruxby was first being too playful with him.  However, Timber is incredibly intelligent and loyal.  He will follow me and Ruxby without a leash when we go on walks.  Timber will also whimper when I confine Ruxby when I believe he's playing too rough with Timber.  So the two pups are bonding well.  He has also met my friend's Husky and is very submissive to that dog.  Tomorrow my two pups will spend the day with my friends husky, Zin again.

So far, Timber has been a fantastic addition to my family.  I will keep you updated on him.

Thank you very much for the opportunity to have a NAID.

Best Regards,

Francis”
