…one of the family members who plays with the pups all the time.  She is now the proud owner of her "Tuffy" puppy as she has called him ever since he was about 3 weeks of age.  These two are inseparable.  It is so precious to watch them together...........

“Dear Majestic View,

My name is Julie Wynveen and I live in Gurnee , Illinois .  My sister (Carolyn Farnam) and I had the pleasure of meeting the most spectacular dog at our local homecoming parade yesterday.  He was such a regal dog...alert, intelligent and sweet as can be.  It was very crowded and loud at the parade, but it did not bother him at all.  We chatted with the owner, and she told us he was a Native American Indian Dog named Tuffy.  We were so intrigued by this breed and by Tuffy, that we pretty much missed the parade (and I had two kids marching in it) because we petted and played with him the entire time.  He rolled over like a big baby so we could pet his stomach, and we were just smitten.  We asked the owner for your information because my sister and I made a pact that we would each get a puppy one day for our families - possibly sibling puppies.  The only problem is, I currently have two older pugs and she has two older Birman cats and we're not sure about introducing a new puppy with our senior citizen pets, so we may need to wait a year or so.

Anyways, my husband grew up with a "salt and pepper" colored German Shepherd named Princess, and we always said our next dog would be a shepherd.  She was highly intelligent and family oriented, but after meeting Tuffy, we just feel that this breed is the perfect fit for our family.  When I saw the photos on your website, I was amazed to see all of the beautiful colors and markings on their coats.  Some of the colors were similar to the "salt and pepper" color of my husband's dog.  I showed my husband the photos, and he loved your dogs too.

We will never forget meeting Tuffy at the parade and what an impact he made on our families.  We are definitely interested in purchasing two puppies from you in the future and will keep your information in a special spot.

Julie Wynveen”

“Karen,

Looker, Sarah and I made it back to
Austin without incident.  Looker was great in the car and mostly just looked around and slept.  He  didn't eat much on the trip as he was probably nervous.  He was fine in the hotel room and didn't have any "accidents" (we were very happy).

On Sunday morning, when he wanted to go out he actually picked up his lead in his mouth and dropped it at Sarah's feet!  I don't know if you taught him that or not, but it  was certainly impressive.

Thanks again for everything and especially letting us stay in your home overnight.

Sincerely,

The Alessandro's”

“Hi Karen,

Thought I would drop you a line and let you know how Tanka and I are doing.  We are GREAT!!!  I have been working with a trainer and he is doing really well.  He is very smart.  My trainer hooked me up with a woman that has Samoyed's that are cart and sled trained.  She is going to help me train Tanka when he gets old enough.

I really intended on having him be primarily an inside dog, but with my  4 acres he just loves to be outside, so I am setting up my backyard as one big kennel for him and my other dog Cassie (who also loves to be outside).
…He sleeps on his back and really likes carrots (I think cold carrots feel good on his teeth).  He and Cassie are as thick as thieves!”
