“Hey Karen, here are pictures as promised! The
picture with my 11 month old son is proof of the breed's gentleness and
tolerance of young children.
Anya and Chinook are inseparable, preferring even to eat out of the same
dish instead of separate ones. It's comical to watch them sleep, each
using the other as a pillow.

“Hi Karen,
My name is Anna, and my husband and I adopted a SID
from you over two years ago. We named him Bandit,
and he as been the love of our lives. I can not tell you how
wonderful he has been and how happy we are that he is apart of our lives.
Bandit is a very intelligent dog. It did not
take long to train him at all. We decided to go to a training
facility called Positive Way, where all the training was done
through positive
reinforcement, clicker training and treats. We loved the
trainers methods so much, that we continued to take all the classes
she had to offer, and even completed a therapy dog training
class.
Bandit is a very energetic dog, who loves to run and
play. We are very happy that our dog trainer also
offers doggie day care twice a week and dog park, so Bandit can play with
his friends and ware himself out for us.
Karen,
My husband and I feel
that it is time for us to adopt Bandit a sister, and was wondering if
you could tell us what the wait time is for a SID or a NAID female?
Please feel free to email me back with your response. Thank you so
much for breeding and raising such wonderful, intelligent dogs.

“Majestic View's Chukchi (Chuckie Cheese) son of Petaga
and Aprocit Rose."

“Karen,
I can not believe this dog, Chukchi, son of Apricot Rose and Petaga 16
months old, how absolutely wonderful he is!!!. Almost a 5
hr. drive home to
Chicago
, and he has never been anywhere before except to the vet for a
rabies vaccine? And has lived outside his whole life? What a
breed!!
We
had a beautiful day today and connected. We had a beautiful walk, worked
walking thru the doorway on a leash did the bike path and he is so
submisive and calm that a crazy jack russel calmed down in his presence.
So I found a job for him, following me around the house on the lead and if
a friend needs a walking partner they are welcome to take him. He'll
get plenty of walks with me too-thats what i do. I have a purpose too. Pretty
sure he isn't going to run off anywhere.
Food -he isn't eating the chicken food I got him. little here and
there. tonight I'm going to grill him a burger with no spices in it. Can
you tell me the name of his food he eats, and where to get it,
possibly?
He is my gentle giant and shall be loved by all. Thank
you so much for the time you spent with us, and helping me find the
perfect dog-I feel like we picked each other.
thanks K
I think he'll love the quarry this summer too.”

“Hello Karen
We are having a great time with our new little guy. His
parents are Apricot Rose and Petaga. We decided to name him Dakota
Bear and we call him Kota Bear. We think he looks like a little
bear cub. He has really warmed up to us. From the
moment he first saw our kids he was very peaceful with them. He just
follows them every where. Shylah, whose parents are Peaches
'N Creme and Petaga, gets along great with
Kota
. They always sleep together. I am so happy that they have
each other. We have them inside most of the time and
Kota
has never had an accident yet. We love him so much. Thank you,
thank you, thank you also gave him a bath the first day and he loved it.
Shylah and
Kota
both love water. When they drink out of their water buckets they
have to put their front legs in. We are having a blast with both of
them. Here are a couple of pictures.
God Bless
Jen”

“My husband and I took both dogs to an obedience class today. Shylah
and Dakota both did awesome. I felt bad for the other people that
could not get there dogs to listen. WE have been working with them
at home but we just wanted to take them to a class to make sure we were
doing it right and just for fun. They did great with the other dogs.
I was very proud of them. It snowed just a little last week
and both dogs laid in the yard and just enjoyed the snow falling on them,
it was so cute. I wish I would of gotten a picture. I will
send a Christmas picture soon.
thank you

“Well we have had Shylah daughter of Peaches and Petaga for a year now.
She continues to amaze me. Her loyalty to us as a family and
her ability to learn. We also have Dakota Bear son of Apricot and
Petaga and he is so much fun.
Kota
is going to be very large and he is my perfect gentlemen. He is so
gentle with children and he is so polite when he meets new people. He
is always the first to come when I call them.
Kota
is known to jump on the counter and pull food down but Shylah is always
looking out for me and growls at him and won't let him, she always makes
me feel so special. I know without a doubt that Shylah would protect
me if needed. I will send a picture when
Kota
is full grown. They are both so beautiful. I tell people my
kids do not need toys they just play with their dogs all day. We are
getting ready to adopt three children from
Ethiopia
and I cannot wait to see them meet our dogs for the first time. I
will send you pictures when it all happens. Thank you for our two
best friends. I told Jake we ought to get a dog for each child.
God Bless

| “Thank you Karen!!
Our red SID (Iowa) son of Yana Istas and Apricot Rose is the funniest, quirkiest little guy
we have ever met. Not normal and we love it. lol!! We take him
to the outside ice-cream parlor to get a cup of vanilla soft serve. It is
hilarious. I am sure you get so many stories about your pups, but I can't
help it- he really is very unique and so smart! Thanks

" Hi Karen:
Growing fast at 11 weeks, her is an updated picture of our big guy Iowa
(son of Yana Istas & Apricot Rose)- on our way camping where he swam
in the lake by himself and spent hours catching crickets. He stays
very close without a leash and has been quick to learn his sit and come
commands. As you can see, his red coat as of just a month ago is
quickly turning to a beautiful creamy color with gray tips. He
really is quite pretty with his Siberian coloring and NAID looking
shape and down posed tail. Personality wise as well, he has been a
wonderful mix of attitude- attentive and intelligently cautious. We
are very happy with him!
Thanks for everything! Cyndy & Kyle"

"Hi Karen: It's me Iowa. 5 months old now, a whopping 54lbs and
quite gorgeous in my winter coat. Going to be big like my dad.
Jus lost my milk teeth. Wish I had a great picture of me outside
being wild...but really I just like to nap on the white bedspread - no
crates for me (I don't like to chew on people stuff anyhow - just
bones). I am very happy, like to smile and my family loves me."

"Thanks for response Karen. Yes we see your female Michgon!!
She looks meaty and sooo...healthy. Iowa always looks bigger when
outside - but likes being a house dog. I have never allowed a dog to
completely live in the house before but he doesn't like being alone.
Very much a companion personality and sticks close. Our last dog was
an escape artist always taking off around the neighborhood, but Iowa would
not dream of going anywhere without us and I a sure may neighbors are just
as please...lol. He really looks like Yana's side of the family with
dark cool looking slanted, almond shaped eyes like his grandmother.
Hope all is well with you and yours:) Cyndi" |

“Hi
Karen!!
Just wanted to send you an update on Lakota Sioux (daughter of Apricot
Rose and Sota Hota, born 12/24/07)!! She is doing wonderfully in her new
home in Vermont! We couldn't be happier with her, she is such a joy to
have as part of our family. We can't believe how quickly she is growing,
she was 37.2 pounds last Saturday at four months old!! She is extremely
intelligent and house training wasn't too hard, it seems like she caught
on pretty quickly to our routine. We started her in puppy classes when we
first got her and she had her "graduation" last Saturday...we
have this adorable picture of her with her "diploma and graduation
cap! She loved the class and especially the socialization with the other
dogs; I think we are going to sign her up for the intermediate classes now
to keep on with the training. She gets along great with our two cats, and
although they were a little unsure of her at first they are quickly
warming up to her. I guess they finally figured out that she isn't going
anywhere!! We have hired a dog walker who comes twice a day to take her
out while we are at work, this works out great for us as she is never
alone for more than three hours at a time (which is good because she is a
nibbler when we are away)! She definitely misses us when we are gone, and
gives us these super sad eyes every time we leave the house...she is truly
"pack oriented" and wants to go wherever we go. On the weekends
we are always on the go with her and she loves the attention she gets from
EVERYONE! Aaron and I joke that if she is with us we can never get
anything done because we are constantly stopping to let people pet her and
answer their questions on the breed! She is more than we ever could have
asked for, so thank you again for bringing such a wonderful pup into our
lives! In fact, we love her so much that we are considering adopting a
NAID from you to be a companion for Lakota. Keep us updated on future
litters as we are very interested!! Thanks again Karen, hope all is well
with you and your family! Give mom Apricot Rose and dad Sota Hota a kiss
form their little (big!) girl!
Love,
Aaron,
Kelly, Lakota, Bruschi, and Seymour”

“Hi Karen,
We
hope that all is well with you and your family, and wanted to send you an
update and recent picture of Lakota for you to post on your web page.
Lakota Sioux (daughter of Apricot Rose and Sota Hota, born
12/24/07
)
is enjoying her first summer in
Vermont
,
although I am sure she misses the snow and cold weather! She loves to lay
in the air conditioning or next to a fan and doesn't go too far from the
kiddie pool when we are outside.
Lake
Champlain
is one of her favorite spots to "wade" (she loves to splash and
get wet but she is not much of a swimmer)...she loves to bite at the water
like a crocodile and put her head right under the water and blow bubbles.
She is sooo goofy and makes us laugh every day! As I write this she is
almost 7 months old and 57 pounds - a big girl! Her legs are very long and
her paws still look way too big for her...our guess is that she has a ways
to go before she finally grows into them. Lakota now spends her days at
"doggy daycare", a small facility about a mile from our home
that only houses up to 10 dogs at once. They all get along wonderfully and
have the option of playing in a large fenced in area with toys galore or
being inside where there is a TV, radio, air conditioning...you name it!
In the evening, we meet up with our neighbors and let all of our dogs romp
and play together. Her best friend is "Kina", our neighbors
Siberian Husky who is exactly two months younger than Lakota. They are
quite the pair! I am pleased to announce that Lakota has outgrown her
carsickness...it was a rough first few months with that...but we can now
take her anywhere with us and she does just fine. In fact, we recently
made a trip to
Delaware
to visit Aaron's family and she was a very good girl the whole way down
and back. We had her spayed about a month and a half ago and she recovered
with flying colors. Up next is more adventures...hiking, traveling, and an
intermediate training class that we are starting next month. Lakota is
such a wonderful girl, completely silly and spoiled rotten. She has an
amazing personality and is loved by all. We couldn't have asked for a
better companion. Thanks again for everything!!
Love,
Kelly, Aaron,
Lakota, Bruschi, and Seymour”

“Hi Karen!
Just wanted to send you a quick update on Lakota Sioux!! (daughter of
M.V.'s Apricot Rose X Sota Hota) She is doing wonderful, 9 months old
now and 66 pounds. She is very tall and lanky...and I can't help but think
how much her facial structure looks like her dad, Sota Hota! She is a
beautiful girl and gets compliments EVERYWHERE she goes! She spends her
days at a small daycare facility about a mile from our home where she can
play indoors and outdoors as she chooses. They can't believe how smart she
is...it really is amazing how fast she catches on to all of her commands
and tricks! She is also in an intermediate training class with her two best
friends, Kina and Wesley (they are both Siberian Huskies). She is
so goofy and makes us laugh everyday!! Also, she has bonded quite well
with our two cats Bruschi and
Seymour
...she gives them baths and
plays with them...it is quite the site considering their size difference!
We take her everywhere with us...she is such a good girl and has had so
much socialization with both people and other dogs that it is a joy to
have her with us. We never have to worry about her being anything but a
sweetheart when we are out in public...she loves everyone (especially
kids!) and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She loves to give kisses
and she is a huge cuddler...although she takes up most of the bed/couch at
this point! This weekend we are taking her to the "Apple Fest"
here in
Vermont
...and are looking forward to
many snowshoeing trips this upcoming winter! Please share the attached
pictures on your website...and I will be sending more! Thanks again for
such a WONDERFUL girl, we couldn't be happier!
Love,
Kelly,
Aaron, Lakota, Bruschi, and Seymour”

“Hi Karen!
Happy holidays to you and your family! As I am writing this I simply
cannot believe that our baby Lakota Sioux (daughter of Apricot Rose and
Sota Hota, born
12/24/07
) is almost a year old!! We are weaning her onto adult kibble as we
speak...just amazing how time flies! Let me start off by saying she is the
SMARTEST dog we have ever seen or heard of...the intelligence of this
breed is just amazing! We always try to stay a step or two ahead of Miss
Lakota but she somehow finds a way to outwit us most every time. Her
latest is opening the fridge while we are gone...and helping herself to
all the raw meat she can handle!! We feed her raw each night (it is her
FAVORITE), but now that she has figured out where it is kept and how to
open the door, it is like a free-for-all for her! She even closes the
fridge when she is done helping herself! Needless to say, we spend our
days trying to rig our house so it is "Lakota Proof"! She is a
complete sweetheart though, absolutely has the most caring, loving, and
friendly personality you could ever ask for in a dog. She is gentle with
children and the elderly...once a month she goes with us to a local
nursing home to visit...and just loves life in general. I have to say
though, she is definitely happiest when she is with us, her
"pack"! Even if we are simply going for a long walk or car ride,
she has to be right by our side. We call her "our little
shadow"! We were at a holiday party last week and there were several
small children there, who of course were calling her "Wolf" and
tugging on her ears, even sticking their fingers in her nose! And through
it all she was as calm and gentle as can be. She really is just a
wonderful girl! A big girl too, 70 pounds now...very tall and lanky, we
are thinking now that she has her height she will start filling out a bit.
So far we have completed both puppy class and intermediate training, and
we hope to enroll her in the advanced class this coming year. I don't know
what else to say other than THANK YOU for bringing such a wonderful,
special girl into our lives. She makes us smile constantly and is the best
friend we could have asked for. Take care and happy holidays from
Vermont
!
Love,
Aaron, Kelly, Lakota Sioux”

"Hi Karen,
Just wanna let you know that we make it o.k. to Las Vegas.
Moon Walker Did great in the car, he never got car sick and he was so
well behaved that we did not put him in the carrier, he eats well, loves
water and napped a lot...
We did stop a lot for potty breaks, the first three times he did not
have to go, back on the road a half an hour later he was crying a little,
so we stopped and sure enough he did have to do his thing.
He also is almost perfect walking on the leash, it took less than four
stops and he had the hang of it.
Thanks so much for this great breed of dog, the Siberian Indian
Dog. I will keep you updated and send you some new photos of him in
a month or so.

“Hi Karen,
Just a short update on Moon Walker. He just turned 6 months old and doing
great, he is almost 59 pounds now. I'm taking him now on his daily
walks with the bicycle and that turned out to be better than just a walk
since he gets more exercise this way.
Enclosed are some fotos of him and his friends, the first one looks
a little brutal but it was all fun and game, the little Maltese girl is
Walkers girlfriend... it's
pretty funny but the two get along very well and love to chase each other
in the back yard until they are tired and rest next to each other.
Have a great day.

"Orion is doing very well! On our scale here at home he's
been hovering around 41 pounds since his vet appointment on the 14th.
His weight gain seems to have slowed down a bit as he's getting older.
He literally went from 20 pounds to 32 pounds in just a week and change!
He's very athletic and looking more like his dad every day! He's
even sporting the little pink nose that Petaga has, just in a different
shape. He is extremely sweet. A couple of the little
girls on the street come over every Saturday afternoon and ask to take him
for his "walk" (a little tour down the street and back again)
which he adores, and then they go nuts in the backyard tiring each
other out playing ball, tag, chase, or just romping in the snow for a
good hour or two. Both the girls and Orion seem quite pleased
with this arrangement. We started him on Eagle Pack which we located
at a holistic pet store in town. It's supposed to be in the same
range as Prism, and Orion seems to like it very much.
Having
two of this gorgeous hybrid yourself, I think you have your own
opinions on them, however I would like to say a few things about them…
First, that we have not noticed any of the common Husky traits that
are less than desirable for some people: such as food aggression, toy/bone
aggression, or shyness around strangers (he growled once at our other dog
when he was 11 weeks old or so when he was chewing on his bone and was
approached, and our other dog pecked him on the nose as if to say
"Stop that nonsense", and he has relinquished his
toys/bones/food to anyone and everyone ever since, without even an ear
twitch). Our vet is amazed by his relaxed and incredibly friendly
personality. Also, though he is still a pup so I cannot say for
sure, right now he has absolutely no doggy smell to him whatsoever.
One of the little girls that play with him has a dog and cat allergy,
albeit not a severe one, and she does not have any sniffles or scratchy
eyes when she plays with him or pets him. I hope he stays that way,
because it's great. You can see more and more NAID traits coming
through in him every day. He watches everyone all the time and is
acutely aware of where everyone in the house is. He knows when
someone leaves, even if he hasn't seen them all day, and goes to their
bedroom door and whines, and then goes to the front door and looks for
them. He loves all over any guest that comes into the house, and
loves to be surrounded by people. He does seem to have a bit of
anxiety when he's left alone, but he's getting better with this, and has
not been destructive at all with regards to chewing on things he
shouldn't. He adores other animals of any kind, and loves to be with
our other dog. The two are good buddies now. :) He has also
started puppy class, and the trainer recommends that we do sledding with
him when he gets older, like we hoped to, and that we look into training
him as a therapy dog because his personality is so amazingly laid back and
loving.
He's
very spoilt and very happy and looks forward to his new girlfriend in the
spring. Thanks again for this amazing guy, we look forward to
furthering this hybrid here in
Canada

"Hey Karen,
Just thought I'd pass along an update on our fiery little Orion, and his
antics as of late! :) I attached several pics, it would be great
if you could post them so everyone could see how Chucki and Lunar
Eclipse's brother is doing! :) Orion would be super grateful,
as he's pretty full of himself and wants his siblings to know that he's
doing just fine! ;)
I thought we'd let you know that today he is 9 days away from his 8
month birthday! :P He's a big boy when you look at him, but
doesn't weigh quite what you'd expect him to. His weight at home
showed almost 70lbs, but at the vet's it shows 63lbs,
as of last week. He honestly looks like he weighs at least 80lbs. He's very lithe and athletic looking. The vet
measured him last week and it he is 26.5 inches at the
top of his shoulder, and 41.5 inches from the tip of
his nose to the tip of his bum (tail not included). We are trying
him on a new Canadian made food called Orijen, and he
is getting cuts of frozen (but thawed) venison once a week, which keeps
his teeth in amazing shape. It's great the way those bones really
help those teeth stay white, shiny and clean. He does have 'puppy'
breath, but with all the crap he digs up in the backyard that doesn't
surprise me. The vitamin supplements are keeping his fur bright
and shiny, and now that he's done blowing out his winter coat for
summertime he barely sheds at all. There is still no doggy odour
to him, he almost smells sweet, like cotton candy or something similar.
He is SO SO SO soft, his hair is thick but it's very soft, especially
behind his ears and on his neck, but even down his back. He has a
nice long strip of black guard hairs along his spine that compliments
the rest of his dark fur, and just the slightest hint of orange/red
behind his ears and on the hocks of his back legs. Did I also
mention that he trims his own nails? Every couple of days he goes
over his entire foot and chews off the tips of his nails and spits them
on the ground. We have only trimmed his nails once, the rest are
worn down naturally by playing and digging, and by his nibbling.
It's very amusing! His blue eye is not so vibrant as it once was,
it has changed color to shade of bluish/white/almost purple-ish color.
And his brown eye has some gold flecks in it right around the pupil.
He has very pretty eyes! :)
As far as personality goes... wow, what a lover. He loves to dig,
and dig.... and dig... haha. We yelled at him for digging up the
yard, so he stopped doing it... except when it rains and it's all
muddy... which I have attached a hilarious picture of!.....I poked my
head out of the upstairs window and saw him digging and grabbed
my camera and called his name... and he looked up and I
snapped this great pic!.. But other than that, instead of digging
up the yard, he goes under the deck and digs up where we can't see him
do it! The brains of that dog astounds me sometimes. When he
doesn't listen to what we say, I know it's not because he isn't
intelligent, it's because he's being a stubborn little turd! His
favourite past time, other than digging, is sitting outside and just
watching everyone and everything. He doesn't get spooked by
airplanes or anything flying overhead, he just stares at them as they
pass by. We took him to the Canada Day fireworks downtown tonight
by the waterfront, and there were about... 5,000 or so people there.
It was dark, loud, and very crowded, and he didn't bat an eyelash.
Every second person stopped to pet him, and he just loved on them, and
continued on his way. He's very into doing his own thing, if
someone wants to pet him he's super friendly, but he doesn't hound them
for attention. He does still jump up on strangers or even people
he knows because he's excited to see them, but he will NOT jump up on a
child or an adult of a shorter height, or anyone who is
elderly. He must sense that they are smaller than him, or more
delicate and he doesn't even try it. He just rubs against them
like a cat, wagging his tail. He's such a darling. The loud
noise of the fireworks didn't phase him at all, he looked up from his
spot on the grass once to see what was making the noise and when he saw
that we were okay with it, he just went back to lying doing and watching
all the people. Other dogs were yapping and barking, and he
totally tuned them out! He never barks...ever... he yaps when he's
playing with Sambuca our Dach/Chi, or with the cats, but never barks...
When our other little guy barks his head off, Orion just puts his paw
on him, as if to say... 'Shut up!'... But boy does he ever howl
when we come home or when he's excited! And it's a beautiful howl
like the dogs at your kennel, I could close my eyes and listen to it
forever. It's so unbelievably serene!
He graduates from Advanced Obedience in two days! After that he
will be going for his Canine Good Neighbour certifications, which will
then show up with his name when he goes to dog shows, which is a great thing
for him, as it's the stepping stone towards two things: becoming a
registered therapy dog, and/or become a member of the rally-o or an
agility competitor. His teacher says that she thinks he thinks
that he's wonderful, she's never seen a Husky hybrid or a dog that looks
like him, who acts the way he does. He is often used as a
placement between dogs in the class who don't get along because he loves
EVERYONE, his favourite "girlfriend" in class is a Pug named
Missy. LoL. What a monkey he is! His teacher thinks he
will make a wonderful therapy dog if we choose to go that route, but
also that she would really like to see him shown in the obedience and
agility rings, because no one ever sees a dog like him compete at such
things (it's usually Aussie's and Border Collies and the like), and that
he would be wonderful at it! So we are going to register him for
his CGN certification first, and then work towards the dog shows that
are coming up this fall! :) It'd be nice for our future pups to
have a Champion sire!
Just wanted to give you an update, we are excited to bring home our
little panda-bear girl in two weeks! Orion is excited to meet his
future wife!
Thanks Karen, look forward to seeing you soon!
~Much love from Orion, Sambuca, Sheena and Mike in Kingston,
Ontario. Canada~"

“Wow, if anyone ever has questions concerning this breed... they
shouldn't anymore..
Two things have happened in the last week alone that have blown me
away....
1st thing:
I took Orion and Panda to
Lake
Ontario
Park
(a park by the waterfront in
Kingston
) and we went to the off leash dog park section... It was about
6 pm
on
Canada
Day... They were running around and playing with the other dogs,
then all of a sudden a slender person in a white outfit (white pants,
white shirt, and some fleece vest thing) came walking up the
hill beside the park from the beach front... The dogs, who are not
normally distracted by people, went to the fence and stared... The
person went back down the hill and disappeared... The dogs stared
for a bit then went back to playing with the other dogs... a few minutes
later the person came back and stoped with their back to the park and eyes
looking out at the lake.... hands behind their back... The dogs went
to the fence and stared... this time, their hackles were up. The
person walked back down again... the dogs stayed staring a few minutes,
and then went back to playing... Then the person came back AGAIN and
this time walked very slowly towards the gates and fence of the park.
Orion started growling and locked eyes with the person (I have never, ever
heard him growl, other than in puppyplay), and Panda started
whimpering.... Both dogs backed up to where Mike and I were
standing with their backs to us and their bodies facing the person.
The other dogs in the park got all nervous from this and all of them went
back to their owners and the owners just stared at the person, who was
just staring at us... Something was not right with them. Then
the person ran off! My dogs went back to their normal play after a
few minutes, checking by the gate every so often.... A few days
later, there was an item on the news that a person from the local psych
hospital had failed to return from a day visit with family, and
described the person as dressed in white and slender in appearance...
I was SO freaked out!!! I still wonder if this was the same person.
Regardless, my babies knew something was not right with them, as did all
of the other dog owners!
2nd thing:
Mike and I were sitting in bed last night arguing about finances and such
(the typical type of spouse argument) and our voices got raised because we
both lost our tempers. All of a sudden Panda jumped up on the bed in
between us and started whining, and Orion jumped up and put his paws over
my chest protectively and started licking my face as if to say "it's
okay mommy..." Neither of them would budge an inch until we
lowered our voices into a more calm tone, once we did Orion slept beside
my bed and Panda refused to move the rest of the night and slept in
between us, her nose nestled between our pillows.
If anyone has any thought about these dogs and their intelligence... no
need to doubt.... I have always thought them to be amazing and
smart, but holy cow have they ever demonstrated their heart and
intelligence this week. I am so proud to have such loyal friends.

“Dear Karen,
I wanted to write and let you know how Kiona ( daughter of Odawa and
Petaga) NAID, and Toby (son of Yana Istas and Apricot Rose) SID are
doing. They are wonderful dogs! They have always been calm and very
well-behaved for puppies. My neighbors cannot believe they don't bark! You
were so right about having two dogs as opposed to one. They are
inseparable and so happy! They are both almost 6 months old and are
growing fast. They are so affectionate and great with the kids. They do
prefer to be outside regardless of the weather, so thanks so much for a
heads up about that. I've sent some pictures so that you can see them as
they were at about 3 months old and how they look today. Contacting your
kennel was the best thing we have done for this family in a long time!

“Hi Karen:
We have been meaning to write for a while. Weeko
(Siouan for Beautiful girl) (daughter of Apricot Rose and Petaga) is
a great puppy. We have attached some pictures of her from 9 weeks to about
14 weeks old.
She has finished her puppy classes and the
instructor could not believe how smart she was, she was constantly saying
that throughout our series of classes. During her teaching the lay
down command Weeko got it on the first try, the instructor could not
believe it. She even asked us if she could use Weeko as the model
for future classes. She is always very good around children. She was
pretty easy to housebreak, we really have had no accidents since about 10
weeks of age. She LOVES the snow. While walking she goes in the
deepest snow piles she can find on the way and just bounces her way
through them, she is so funny.
She likes to go up hills and thinks she needs
to pull me along, that is the sled dog coming through. The only animal she
seems to be afraid of is the random deer that is walking across the road-she
is ready to go right home when she smells them. She loves to
play with other dogs, especially the larger ones, she seems to like to be
in charge when playing.
We cannot go anywhere without people coming
over to us or the car asking us about Weeko and telling us she is the most
beautiful puppy. Many people say they have never seen a more
beautiful dog and how well behaved she is.
Where she appears to be well adjusted (and
quite spoiled) we feel that she would happy with a playmate all the time.
We cannot wait until December 13th to pick up our second Siberian Indian
Dog puppy. We have named him Jackson after the ski
resort in
Jackson Hole WY
.
Hope you like the pictures, Weeko has truly
completed our family.
Thank you!!!

Al, Kelly, Brandon and Hailey”

“Karen - I just thought I would send you a couple of pictures of Weeko
(daughter of Petaga and Apricot Rose
8-14-08
) and Teton (son of Dark Shadow Dancer/ Chukchi
10-03-08
)
They are the most wonderful dogs! As you can
tell they like to lay around the house. They are outside during
the day when I am away for work but if we are home they are inside
with us. They both sleep inside most days unless there is
a full moon, then Weeko likes to be outside. Weeko is starting to
think she is a lap dog, strange lately as she will climb up on you and
want to sit on your lap (she is about 75 lbs). She still sleeps with us
and Teton sleeps with our daughter Hailey. Teton thinks he is
a house dog and could care less if he is outside ever. Again,
Thanks for these two great dogs. Kelly”
