“Hi Karen!
We've been meaning to write to you for sometime now, I finally have a minute to catch up on emails. Our baby boy, Barron, was born last week.
You should have seen Koda when he first heard him cry. He didn't know what to think! Just looking around like where is that noise coming from. Our Koda is doing great. He's a happy puppy. We all did some adjusting the first couple weeks. House training was a little difficult. Koda never quite got that he needed to give us a signal. He liked to go pee on his bed...which we thought was odd. But I think he was just marking his territory. We took that bed away, eventually and set up our mud room and the garage with the dog door, so he can go out on his own. This fixed that problem  pretty well. He's outside most of the day. Always out there frolicking around and digging in the snow. He likes to bury his face in the snow. Its so funny. The best is when Justin howls from the other side of the house. Koda will come running to him. He's great on and off the leash. Will stay close at all times. He's great with meeting new people. Always greeting them with his tail wagging. You said he would be big and boy is he ever BIG! He's 13 weeks and 40lbs!  He is just so beautiful. We just look  at him in awe sometimes. I promise to keep you updated with his progress. Thank you Karen, for our Koda! We sure do love him. Enjoy the photos. I took these today :)

Sincerely,
Stephanie Lawrence”

“Hey Karen,

Just giving you an update on our boy, we named him Wahea.  He is such a lover and so beautiful that we can’t take him hardly anywhere without people stopping wanting to meet him and know what kind of dog he is.  Since the first night home he has been sleeping in our bed and hasn’t messed one time.  He holds it all night until we get up and take him out.  His howl is a riot! as he throws his head back and howls like a wolf.  It’s hilarious!  In just four days he has already come so far.  This is truly an unbelievably smart breed.  He is already taking long walks on a leash and does great.  He is right at 8 weeks and weighs 21lbs.  Needless to say he is a monster of a puppy.  Thanks for a wonderful dog!

Best regards,
Cody Hardin”

“Karen,

This is Wahea at 10 weeks.  He now weighs 30.8 lbs and continues to get smarter and smarter.  He can now sit, shake with both hands and speak on command.  He is the most stable puppy that we have ever seen and we can and do take him anywhere and after a few minutes of sniffing he will just plop down somewhere and hang out.  He never gets into anything when we are somewhere else and all our friends are amazed at his calm demeanor.  He never leaves our side outside the house even if not on a leash.  Everyone continues to say how beautiful he is anywhere we go and they all want to know what he is and where to get one.   Just thought you would want to see an updated pic and hear how well he was coming along.  Thanks again.”
