I wanted to let you know that after the first week, Dakota is
acclimating to us very well and has become a favorite of the kids in the
neighborhood. He's a great dog and we are extremely happy with him.

| “Hi Karen,
Sorry to take so long to give you an update on Lakota (one of the
puppies from the May 20 litter)! She is doing great! We
really love her and she couldn't be a better puppy. She had her
last puppy shot yesterday and weighed in at 36 pounds. Potty
training was excellent. She hasn't gone to the bathroom in the house in
over 5 weeks and she pooped just the first week in the house! She
already knows how to sit, stay, lay, shake and sit-up. She is
sleeping in our bedroom on her dog bed at night and we no longer have to
keep the gate up she just knows to stay on her bed. She has lots
of friends around our neighborhood. At the vet they all have to
come see her when she is there and they can't get over how pretty she is
and how well behaved she is. They say that she is the perfect
puppy; no barking, barely sheds, is already potty trained, her coat is
so soft and never stinks and very well mannered. She loves her
vitamins but thank you so much for the tip on only half of one until she
gets older, she was drinking 3-4 bowls of water a day and now she's down
to about 1 1/2. Everywhere we go people comment on her, they all
think she is so pretty. I told Eric when we have kids that we will
be taking a walk and nobody will comment on the kids they will comment
on how pretty the dog is. We would love to get another one but I
think we will probably wait a couple of years (but I already know I want
one from Lunar Eclipse)!! She is so pretty and I want a dark one
next so we can have a white one and a black one!!

“Hi Karen!
Lakota
is doing great! She is loving the winter weather. She loves to
climb the mountains on the side of our driveway and run through them and
bury her face in the snow. When it is snowing she tries to catch the
snowflakes :) She is about 57 pounds right now. She isn't getting
any taller than the last time you saw her but she is filling out more.
We go on at least one 3 mile walk a day and usually 2...her walks are
the highlights of her day! She loves going out and seeing everything.
She is so well behaved, we are always getting compliments on her and
many people have mentioned that we should think about doing therapy work
with her! She knows quite a few tricks; she can bow, shake, high
five, lay, stay come, heel and I am sure I missed one or two. We are
planning a few vacations this summer and we are going to take her
camping with us a couple times...she absolutely loves the tent and
getting dirty! We are putting in a fence in our backyard this
spring and I am so excited for her. She will have a ton of room to run
around and chase things. :) One of these years we will be getting
another dog from you! I think we are going to wait until we have all of
our kids so they can enjoy a puppy too!!

Panda Bear - Sire~Sota Hota
|
 |
“Hey Karen,
Just a note to say that all is well. Panda Bear ( daughter of
Peaches 'n Creme & Sota Hota) is doing fine. She's a real
lover and loves all people. She wasn't so sure about other dogs, she
growled and bared her teeth ferociously at Orion for two days, but now
they are the best of friends just as I figured they would be. You
know, us women have to put the men in their place! Haha. LoL. :)
She's definitely a spitfire, but a sweet one! Thanks for giving us
such a doll. We try and keep an eye on their playing because
Orion still thinks he's a little pup, and forgets he's a massive beast.
Haha. :) She definitely has taken a particular shine to all the
little kids next door, and loves all over them. She's doing well on
leash, but most of the time we walk her and Orion at night and don't
bother with her leash since she follows us wherever we go. We think
she is going to be more "alpha" in nature, since she always
wants to run and catch up with whoever is walking at the front of the
group when we take walks. Orion is definitely more 'beta' in nature.
He only dominates other dogs because of his size, definitely not because
of his nature. LoL. Both dogs are awesome and full of personality
and we couldn't be happier! She is awesome in the car too, no
sickness at all (thank the Lord!). I'm not sure if I could handle
two dogs that throw up uncontrollably in the car. LoL. She's a
dream! She's sooooooooo gorgeous too. My dad was in heaven
when he met her!
Thanks Again Sheena”

“Panda Bear is quite possibly the smartest
girl ever. She has her moments when she sits and just watches very
intently and she is also so full of psychic energy some days
too... But she is so wonderful, now that we've been going to the dog
park, she is even better and listens very well off leash.
She and I are quite bonded. Cheers Sheena”

“Wow, if anyone ever has questions concerning this breed...
they shouldn't anymore..
Two things have happened in the last week alone that have blown me
away....
1st thing:
I took Orion and Panda to
Lake
Ontario
Park
(a park by the waterfront in
Kingston
) and we went to the offleash dog park section... It was about
6 pm
on
Canada
Day... They were running around and playing with the other dogs,
then all of a sudden a slender person in a white outfit (white pants,
white shirt, and some fleece vest thing) came walking up the
hill beside the park from the beach front... The dogs, who are not
normally distracted by people, went to the fence and stared... The
person went back down the hill and disappeared... The dogs stared
for a bit then went back to playing with the other dogs... a few minutes
later the person came back and stoped with their back to the park and eyes
looking out at the lake.... hands behind their back... The dogs went
to the fence and stared... this time, their hackles were up. The
person walked back down again... the dogs stayed staring a few minutes,
and then went back to playing... Then the person came back AGAIN and
this time walked very slowly towards the gates and fence of the park.
Orion started growling and locked eyes with the person (I have never, ever
heard him growl, other than in puppyplay), and Panda started
whimpering.... Both dogs backed up to where Mike and I were
standing with their backs to us and their bodies facing the person.
The other dogs in the park got all nervous from this and all of them went
back to their owners and the owners just stared at the person, who was
just staring at us... Something was not right with them. Then
the person ran off! My dogs went back to their normal play after a
few minutes, checking by the gate every so often.... A few days
later, there was an item on the news that a person from the local psych
hospital had failed to return from a day visit with family, and
described the person as dressed in white and slender in appearance...
I was SO freaked out!!! I still wonder if this was the same person.
Regardless, my babies knew something was not right with them, as did all
of the other dog owners!
2nd thing:
Mike and I were sitting in bed last night arguing about finances and such
(the typical type of spouse argument) and our voices got raised because we
both lost our tempers. All of a sudden Panda jumped up on the bed in
between us and started whining, and Orion jumped up and put his paws over
my chest protectively and started licking my face as if to say "it's
okay mommy..." Neither of them would budge an inch until we
lowered our voices into a more calm tone, once we did Orion slept beside
my bed and Panda refused to move the rest of the night and slept in
between us, her nose nestled between our pillows.
If anyone has any thought about these dogs and their intelligence... no
need to doubt.... I have always thought them to be amazing and
smart, but holy cow have they ever demonstrated their heart and
intelligence this week. I am so proud to have such loyal friends.

“Just wanted to
thank you for our SID we got from you, Rocky. He is doing great. He
is very smart and loving, and thinks he is about a 10 pound dog in a now
60 pound dog body. He gets along great with our Bichon,
Thor, and the two of them are fast
friends. Below are a couple of pictures of Rocky.

“Hello Karen
I
am finally getting around to sending some pictures. I have been
doing a lot of paper work for adoption coming up. Shylah our Siberian
Indian Dog is doing great. Her parents are Peaches and Petaga. She
has been such a blessing to our family.
We have friends that come over just to play with her. She loves to
go every where with us. She still thinks she is a little puppy and
loves to sit in my lap. Thank you, thank you so much for her.
She always looks at me as if she knows everything I am saying.
my daughter loves to get her talking. I have only heard her
bark one time, she is very quiet unless we are playing and then some times
she will talk to us. She is getting ready to be spayed I can't
believe the time has gone by so fast. Here are some recent pictures
of her.
thank you so much
God Bless
Jen”

“Hello Karen
I have to tell you a funny story about
Shylah. She is daughter of Peaches and Petaga. WE are keeping
a dog for a friend for a while and they get along great and play together
all day. But if this other dog jumps up on any of us Shylah growls
at here and makes her get down, she is protective of us and I think it is
so cute. She is especially protective of the kids. I have
always thought Shylah was great but I really see how great she is when we
are around other dogs. Like she doesn't smell at all or shed much
and she has a dry mouth. Those are things I guess I took for granted
until we had another do in our home. We are so thankful for her and
I am so thankful that you do all the hard work to bring a great breed to
people.
I was wondering if any of the new pups for
Apricot Rose and Petaga were available. We really want to get
another dog from you. Also Shylah got spayed last week and she is
doing great. I am sending you the receipt.
thank you
Jen”

“Hello Karen
We are having a great time with our new little guy. His
parents are Apricot Rose and Petaga. We decided to name him Dakota
Bear and we call him Kota Bear. We think he looks like a little
bear cub. He has really warmed up to us. From the
moment he first saw our kids he was very peaceful with them. He just
follows them every where. Shylah, whose parents are Peaches
'N Creme and Petaga, gets along great with
Kota
. They always sleep together. I am so happy that they have
each other. We have them inside most of the time and
Kota
has never had an accident yet. We love him so much. Thank you,
thank you, thank you also gave him a bath the first day and he loved it.
Shylah and
Kota
both love water. When they drink out of their water buckets they
have to put their front legs in. We are having a blast with both of
them. Here are a couple of pictures.
God Bless
Jen”

“My husband and I took both dogs to an obedience
class today. Shylah and Dakota both did awesome. I felt bad
for the other people that could not get there dogs to listen. WE
have been working with them at home but we just wanted to take them to a
class to make sure we were doing it right and just for fun. They did
great with the other dogs. I was very proud of them. It snowed
just a little last week and both dogs laid in the yard and just enjoyed
the snow falling on them, it was so cute. I wish I would of gotten a
picture. I will send a Christmas picture soon.
thank you
Jen”

“Well we have had Shylah daughter of Peaches and Petaga for a year
now. She continues to amaze me. Her loyalty to us as a family
and her ability to learn. We also have Dakota Bear son of Apricot
and Petaga and he is so much fun.
Kota
is going to be very large and he is my perfect gentlemen. He is so
gentle with children and he is so polite when he meets new people. He
is always the first to come when I call them.
Kota
is known to jump on the counter and pull food down but Shylah is always
looking out for me and growls at him and won't let him, she always makes
me feel so special. I know without a doubt that Shylah would protect
me if needed. I will send a picture when
Kota
is full grown. They are both so beautiful. I tell people my
kids do not need toys they just play with their dogs all day. We are
getting ready to adopt three children from
Ethiopia
and I cannot wait to see them meet our dogs for the first time. I
will send you pictures when it all happens. Thank you for our two
best friends. I told Jake we ought to get a dog for each child.
God Bless
Jen”

“Hi Karen,
Here is a photo of Sophie (daughter of Peaches 'n Creme & Petaga)
taken in May. She is a great dog, we love her and are enjoying her
very much. She is smart, willful and has a very strong alpha
attitude. I don't recall you recommending rose bushes for a dietary
supplement, but Sophie thinks they're quite yummy - thorns and all! lol!!
I wish I had a museum placard to hang on her explaining her background -
everyone wants to know what kind of breed this beautiful dog is! Hope all
is well.
Sincerely,
Maria”
