“Hi Karen,
I finally have a few free moments and wanted to
write you more about Sirius (Petaga x Whya). He is just 10 weeks old, and
we have only had him a bit over a week, and he is just a pure joy to our
household! He gets along very well with my Mother's dog, who lives with us
most of the year. He is a 3 pound maltese (Cheerio), and they just love to
play with each other! When Cheerio takes Sirius' toys or bones he doesn't
even care, and just calmly moves on to the next toy. He is pretty much
housebroken already! It is such a joy! It is funny, he can be a bit of an
escape artist already. The first time we left him alone in the kitchen
which is gated off, we came home and couldn't find him anywhere! We found
him upstairs (a few days prior he was a bit too clumsy to climb them) fast
asleep where he sleeps at night under our bedside table. There were no
accidents, or things chewed up, which we both thought was amazing for a
puppy, we just laughed and laughed!
Over the weekend he met our friends animals, a small
dog and a pot
belly pig. The pig and Sirius became fast
friends! It was great to see them play, and for the first time
(before puppy classes which haven't started yet) Sirius finally met a
playful opponent, so he could really let loose! The pig is much smaller,
but they both weigh the same, so they had fun wrestling and snuggling...
it was a great sight to see!
I have attached a few pictures for you. I just wanted
to thank you again for such a wonderful dog! Everyday I am more and more
impressed with him, and can't wait to get to know his personality more and
more! Thank you!!
Best!
Courtney, Eric & Sirius”

“Hi Karen,
We just got back from our first puppy class and
I just HAD to write you and tell you how awesome Sirius (Siberian Indian
Dog) (Petaga X Whya Timber) is!! First of all, he is only 13 weeks
old and can sit, come, lie down, and shake... second of all.... I
know I've read about these dogs having a '6th' sense and all but tonight
it was AMAZING!
In class all family members are welcome to come. One
family has a young child with down's syndrome. He was sitting in a chair
away from all the ruckus while the puppies were playing with each other...
and twice the child began to be upset, and as soon as he did, Sirius was
right by his side. He just ran over to him and sat at his feet perfectly
calm, and sort of guarded him from other dogs... it was amazing to me!!!
You could just tell he was attracted to this little boy, and wanted to
protect him, or at least help calm him down. I just couldn't believe it,
especially because he is so young!!!
I am in Grad school to become a special needs teacher
and after tonight I am sooo excited that I will be able to have Sirius
visit with the kids! He is just a dream come true! Thanks again!!!
xoxoxo

P.S. I am one of those crazy dog people who love to
take thousands of pics and send them to everyone else... so here are a few
more for you:) He loves playing in the dirt!!”

“Hi Karen,
I just wanted to send you another update on Sirius (Petaga
x Whya Timber). He is doing wonderfully! I am attaching some updated
pictures. One of which a professional photographer took of him a few
months ago (the close up of his face). Another one is from his first time
in the snow... we got a light dusting in October, and he loved it! He is
almost 7 months now and almost 70 lbs, and is getting neutered next week.
He is so well behaved, everyone loves him! He is still a little shy, but
our friends like to say he is just extremely polite. They always say how
nice it is to come over and not be jumped all over by what will soon be a
large dog. He takes a little while to warm up to people, and we prefer it
that way. We love his personality! He is so funny. He loves to be with us
all the time. Even when he is sleeping he will get up to follow us into
another room, just to lie back down and try to sleep, even if we only are
gone for 5 minutes. On walks he is so good! He never pulls the leash or
anything, he doesn't seem interested in chasing squirrels or chipmunks...
yet. He loves his friends at the dog park, and we are always the most
beautiful dog there! Sometimes when we enter the park people who don't
know us will seem scared by the look of him, but he wins them over within
minutes! He wouldn't hurt a fly! The other day we went to the dog park and
there were small dogs in the big dog section, and Sirius saw a Jack
Russell from far away and ran so fast after him, the owners looked
nervous, but when he got to the dog, he just lied down and tried to lick
his face! It was so funny! Then he let the Jack Russell and other small
dogs 'beat him up'. He is so big, but he doesn't know it, and he lets all
the other dogs, big or small, win their wrestling matches. It's really a
funny sight! They truly are a non-aggressive breed. We can't wait
until we can get another dog from you! We couldn't be happier!!! Thanks
again!!!
Best,
Courtney, Eric & Sirius”
“One more thing I forgot to tell you is that Sirius
will carry home my empty water bottle when we go for hikes. Sometimes it
will be for miles. It's the cutest/ funniest thing! Plus it's very
helpful:) Thanks again!
